The Beginning

I started out in my school’s music program in second grade. The decision to pursue music has brought me so many memories, experiences, and opportunities with friends and family. The idea of pushing myself to do more is something I think everyone can relate to, and music has always given me that motivation. It’s a dream worth pursuing and something I’m very passionate about.

Finding His Voice

That passion grew more and more throughout high school. I was always trying to find opportunities to perform with the band or thinking about what I needed to work on myself to help me stand out. Through music competitions, theater productions, and solo performances, each experience has helped me grow.

The Craft

I’ve taken piano fundamentals, and I’m currently taking music theory and ear training through Juilliard, which I’m still so grateful for to this day.

Beyond the Music

Life can’t always be fair, though. Pursuing something for a long period of time while you’re still trying to figure things out can lead to burnout. It can leave you feeling so unmotivated that you don’t even know how you got there. But experiences like these shouldn’t be neglected—they should be learned from. I don’t regret experiencing them because they made me more certain about the kind of music I want to make and how I want to go about it.

The Dream

After all the struggle and happy moments, I still don’t know what I’m doing most of the time, but I won’t let that stop me from experiencing what the world has to offer and doing what I love.

If you have a dream and you love it, that’s worth fighting for.
